Hay there!
Thank you for checking out my project. My name's Greg, and I like to build stuff online.
This project was started due to frustration with existing tools, but also as a fun side project to sharpen my tools.
I plan to keep this tool under development, but always free to use - and I've set up this humble page to try and attract sponsorship towards ongoing development.
Your support helps api.horse gallop ahead with future development, but keeps the reins tight with quality and security.
Saddle up
If you'd like to see a specific feature, let me know! Open a new issue on GitHub and we can start a conversation, or open a pull request if you'd like to contribute something yourself.
How to sponsor?
Let's not hoof around any longer - you can sponsor the developer on GitHub as much or as little as you'd like. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
A note on AI
API.horse is built using PHP.GT/WebEngine, my own hand-coded framework that aims to combat the nonsense associated with modern web dev. I consider AI to be mainly nonsense. WebEngine is designed to promote and prioritise human thinking. The robots are taking over, but not in my repositories! I believe that we should reach for AI as a useful tool when it can positively augment our human creativity, but currently the tools all seem to prefer trying to do the creative bit for us - and all that achieves is us humans are pushed to one side, becoming nothing more than quality control - and ironically, there's often very little quality output - so it just takes all the joy out of programming for me. I'm not saying don't use AI, I'm just saying to consider what job it's taking off us before we ask it for help.
The horsey pictures you'll find in the error pages are hand-drawn by my wife Sarah. She also takes photographs at Sarah's Lens.
